Hi there! I’m Vy (pronounced “Vee”). I’m a therapy practicum student currently training under the thoughtful guidance of Dr. Abella and Dr. Garlock. I am currently pursuing a clinical psychology doctoral degree at Kansas City University. With an academic background in human development and health communications, my path into mental health has been deeply rooted in understanding people, building connections, and making meaningful change.
Before starting my graduate degree, I spent time working in community-based organizations and public health, where I developed a strong passion for accessible care and collaborative support. Most recently, I completed a diagnostic practicum where I had the honor of working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan, with a special focus on late-diagnosed autism and ADHD.
In and outside of session, I am all about creativity and connection! I’m a big fan of crafts (currently obsessed with junk journaling), spending quality time with friends and family, discovering hidden gems around Kansas City, and proudly serve as a full-time butler to my dog. I’m passionate about integrated health, community-building, and creating space for clients to feel empowered, understood, and supported. My goal is to walk alongside you as you build intentional, compassionate, and lasting change. I’m so excited to keep growing and learning alongside my supervisors and the amazing clients I get to work with! Vy accepts sliding scale and self pay clients. $30 for individual sessions and $40 for couples/family sessions.
